India-China Flights Update

India and China have officially entered into discussions to bring back direct air travel between the two countries after a nearly five-year-long suspension. The initiative follows a preliminary agreement reached in January 2025, where both nations expressed a mutual interest in restoring flight connectivity.
While dialogue between their respective civil aviation ministries has commenced, no exact timeline has been finalized for the resumption of these services. Authorities have confirmed that technical and diplomatic evaluations are still underway.
The revival of direct flights is expected to significantly boost business ties, tourism, and bilateral relations between Asia’s two largest economies. Until further announcements are made, travelers are advised to continue using connecting flight routes through third countries.
