Flipkart Shifts HQ to India
Walmart-backed Flipkart has announced that it is moving its headquarters from Singapore to India. This major step is expected to simplify business operations. Moreover, it will support Flipkart’s plans to launch an IPO in India.
Notably, this move follows PhonePe’s relocation in 2022. At that time, PhonePe paid $1 billion in taxes to Walmart. Flipkart is now taking a similar route, showing a strong commitment to the Indian market.
As a result, Flipkart is likely to attract more local investors. It will also become easier for the company to expand its reach across India. Overall, this shift strengthens Flipkart’s position in the fast-growing e-commerce space.
