UBS Sells India Biz to 360 ONE
Swiss bank UBS has agreed to sell its Indian onshore wealth management business to Mumbai-based 360 ONE WAM for ₹3.07 billion (around $36 million).
The deal includes UBS’s local stock broking operations, portfolio management services (PMS), and remaining loan assets.
As part of the agreement, UBS will receive warrants to acquire a 4.95% equity stake in 360 ONE.
This move marks a strategic shift for UBS. Instead of directly operating in India, it aims to grow its offshore wealth services by partnering with a strong local firm.
The partnership aligns with UBS’s global strategy to focus on cross-border clients while maintaining a presence in key markets through strategic investments.
