BCCI Reveals Updated Player List
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has officially updated its central contracts for 2025, reinstating star players Shreyas Iyer and Ishan Kishan after their earlier exclusion due to non-participation in domestic cricket tournaments.
Shreyas Iyer, who had been recovering from a back injury, now finds himself in Grade B, signaling BCCI’s renewed trust in his comeback. Meanwhile, Ishan Kishan has been slotted into Grade C, following his return to competitive action.
A major highlight of the update is Rishabh Pant’s promotion to Grade A, a reward for his consistent and match-winning performances across formats.
The elite Grade A+ category continues to feature India’s cricketing pillars: Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Jasprit Bumrah, and Ravindra Jadeja.
This annual revision reflects BCCI’s performance-based approach and aims to motivate players to stay committed across all levels of the game.
