BJ Med Students Need Support
A tragic air crash struck BJ Medical College in Ahmedabad. Air India Flight AI-171 hit a student hostel shortly after takeoff.
As a result, several students lost their lives. Many others suffered serious injuries. The college community remains in shock.
Soon after the crash, the Indian Medical Association (IMA) Gujarat contacted Tata Sons. They requested financial help and emotional support for the affected students.
Meanwhile, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) began immediate inspections of all Boeing 787 aircraft in Air India’s fleet. This move aims to prevent future disasters.
In addition, airport officials raised safety measures near runways and crowded zones. Public buildings, including hostels and colleges, will now follow stricter rules.
Furthermore, health teams have started providing on-site counseling. They are working closely with students and their families.
Moreover, several NGOs and volunteers have joined the relief efforts. They are offering food, aid, and emotional care to those in need.
Going forward, experts recommend stronger safety rules around airports. They also suggest regular audits to reduce risks.
