CSK Out of IPL 2025 Playoff Race
The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have officially exited the IPL 2025 playoff contention after suffering a four-wicket loss against the Punjab Kings (PBKS) at Chepauk Stadium. Despite a fighting 88-run knock from all-rounder Sam Curran, CSK stumbled from a promising 172/4 to a total collapse at 190 all out, courtesy of a sensational hat-trick by Yuzvendra Chahal.
In response, PBKS chased down the target with ease, thanks to crucial knocks from Shreyas Iyer and Prabhsimran Singh. This win propelled Punjab Kings to the second spot on the points table, while CSK became the first team to be eliminated from this season’s playoff race.
With inconsistent performances and injuries plaguing their campaign, CSK’s hopes for another IPL title are now officially over in 2025.
