Gujarat Monsoon Breaks Record

Gujarat Monsoon Breaks Record

Gujarat Monsoon

Gujarat Monsoon has arrived with a strong start. The state received 257 mm of rain, which is 30% of its seasonal average, in just a few weeks. This is the fastest monsoon progress in the last 10 years.

According to the IMD, this rapid rainfall is due to a strong low-pressure system over the Arabian Sea. As a result, many districts—like Surat, Valsad, and Ahmedabad—are already experiencing wet conditions.

Authorities have warned people to stay alert. Heavy rain is expected in the coming week. Flood-prone areas and low-lying zones may face waterlogging or disruptions.

To manage this, local governments have kept emergency teams ready. Citizens should avoid unnecessary travel during peak rainfall hours.

This rain brings both benefits and risks. Farmers welcome the early water supply. However, urban areas might face traffic jams and water accumulation.

Stay tuned for daily weather updates and follow safety guidelines from official sources.
