Historic PBKS Win Shocks KKR

In a thrilling low-scoring encounter, Punjab Kings (PBKS) etched their name in IPL history by defending the lowest total ever, securing a dramatic 16-run win over Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR).
After being bundled out for just 111 runs, PBKS staged an astonishing comeback, thanks to a fiery bowling display that dismantled KKR for 95 all out.
Leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal led the charge with a brilliant spell of 4/28, while pacer Marco Jansen added pressure with 3/17, choking the KKR batting lineup on a challenging surface.
Head coach Ricky Ponting hailed the performance, describing it as “possibly the finest win” of his IPL coaching career. He credited the bowlers for showing extraordinary discipline, resilience, and tactical brilliance in a high-pressure situation.
This unexpected triumph not only boosts PBKS’s morale but also sends a strong message to the other teams in the league.
