Organic Market Opens in Vesu
In a significant move to boost sustainable agriculture, Governor Acharya Devvrat inaugurated Surat’s first organic farmers’ market in Vesu. This eco-conscious marketplace is the result of a collaboration between the Surat Municipal Corporation and the Surat District Panchayat.
The organic market provides a dedicated platform for natural farming practitioners to directly sell their chemical-free, fresh produce to local consumers—cutting out middlemen and ensuring fair pricing. The initiative supports both healthier lifestyles and the growth of eco-friendly agriculture.
The market will operate twice a week, every Wednesday and Sunday from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM, encouraging citizens to opt for fresh, sustainable food choices and support local farmers committed to organic methods.
This launch marks a progressive step toward creating a healthier, greener Surat.
