Bank Holiday in Telangana Only
On April 5, 2025, banks across India operated as usual, with the exception of Telangana, where all banking services were suspended in observance of Babu Jagjivan Ram’s birth anniversary. This regional holiday pays tribute to the iconic freedom fighter and social reformer, known for his relentless efforts in championing equality and justice for marginalized communities in India. While customers in other states continued regular banking transactions, Telangana honored the legacy of a leader who played a pivotal role in shaping modern India’s social policies.
