The bench questioned Allahbadia’s freedom to make such comments, stating they reflected a “depraved mind” and would “shame every parent, sister, and mother.”
Interim Relief Granted Amid Multiple FIRs
The Court issued an interim stay on Allahbadia’s arrest in FIRs filed in Thane and Guwahati. However, Allahbadia was directed to cooperate with investigations and refrain from hosting similar shows until further notice. The Court also warned against filing additional FIRs over the issue.

Allahbadia and fellow comedians Samay Raina and others face multiple FIRs across India due to their controversial remarks, triggering a national outcry. Despite facing online threats, the Court dismissed concerns, calling them attempts for “cheap counter publicity.”

The National Commission for Women (NCW) summoned Allahbadia, Raina, and others for questioning in New Delhi. Amid mounting pressure, Raina issued a public apology, expressing regret over the incident.
